I had to gather my thoughts before I could get along with writing out the flashdevos...

1 Kings 1-4

David's reign as King is finally over, and the book of 1st Kings marks the beginning of the reign of King Solomon, David's son, whose mother is Bathsheeba. She ensures that David's older son doesn't become king, since he was involved with Absalom while he was still alive to conspire against David. He would stop at nothing until the crown was his, but Bathsheeba convinces David before he dies that he should give the throne to Solomon, which he does, and all of the men involved with David's other son were executed.

Solomon has a dream in which God speaks to him, and Solomon was asked by the Lord what he wanted and Solomon replied that he wanted great wisdom from God. So God granted him what he asked for and his kingdom began to prosper. Please keep reading on as Solomon's temple will be built and you will see how his reign gains power....
